This costume represents my second costuming effort ever (and the first that involved actual sewing). And some basic woodworking for the wind-up key. I'm pretty proud of it.

Can I ask where you got the fabric? It's so pretty. (Also, if you don't mind me nerding at you, what's the fiber? Also, did you use a storebought pattern and if so, which one? I really like it!)

Here's where I lose nerd cred, because I didn't sew the robe. I found it in a thrift store for $10 and grabbed it. If I had to guess, it would be some silk/polyester blend - the labels were all gone. All I did was fix the sleeves and some raggedy hems - the actual sewing part was for constructing the harness corset thingy around my torso.

Recently I did see a Simplicity pattern for a kimono-type robe that resembled my robe, for what it's worth. If you like, I can go home and take pictures/measurements of my robe and post them here.
